Better late than never, right? I meant to post this news a few months back when I received this award, but my busy schedule kept me from sharing the news sooner. In early April I found out that my Grape & Grain logo received a Brass Ring Award from Oklahoma Christian University in the Logotype/Wordmark category. I have to give a big thanks to Oklahoma Christian University for this recognition and the beautiful and unexpected medal (pictured above) sent to me to commemorate this award. Here is a little background about the Brass Ring Awards:
The Brass Ring Awards competition is designed to motivate and reward students for excellence in art and design. This year marks the 24th year for the Brass Ring Awards, which attracted 949 entries in 2008 from 22 universities and 17 high schools. We award best of show, gold, silver, bronze and merit awards in each category based on the judge’s scoring. All winners will be shown online.
Now that I am no longer a student I am not eligible for the awards, but I highly recommend that any design students out there submit their work for the Brass Ring Awards next year. It never hurts to have your work recognized and it looks great on your resumé. You can check out the full list of the 2010 award winners at BrassRingAwards.com.
